Oman Air and Air Mauritius have signed up to join the Aeroplan loyalty programme’s growing roster of more than 40 airline travel partners. The new partnerships expand Aeroplan’s coverage in the region and gives members access to additional premium air products.
Members can earn Aeroplan points based on distance flown on all scheduled flights operated by Oman Air, although Aeroplan Elite Status qualifying is not applicable. Members can also earn points on or redeem points for Oman Air’s Apex Suite in the Business Class cabin, as well as the Private Suite in the First Class cabin.
Initially, for Air Mauritius flights, Aeroplan Members can only redeem their points for flights but the earning of Aeroplan points is expected to launch in early 2022.
In terms of Aeroplan Flight Rewards on both Oman Air and Air Mauritius flights, flights are priced based on Aeroplan’s pricing for partner airlines. Members will be able to book Oman Air and Air Mauritius flights online at aircanada.com, through the Air Canada mobile app, or via Aeroplan’s Contact Centre.
Flights can be combined with flights operated by Air Canada and our other international airline partners.
Oman Air flights are eligible for redemption in First, Business, and Economy classes. Air Mauritius flights are eligible for redemption in Business and Economy classes. The partner booking fee will apply for flight rewards which include travel on Oman Air or Air Mauritius.
Oman Air and Air Mauritius are the ninth and tenth new airlines to join the program since June 2020, and Aeroplan claims to be the only frequent flyer program in North America currently offering the opportunity to earn and redeem on Oman Air and Air Mauritius flights.
